departure of our drummer and dear friend Bucknall had sort of hit
home. No hugs from my bro. No sign of Andy's puny yellow kit. just a
gaping hole where my drummer of over 5 years used to be. But I'm a
slave to the songs and there is no time for wallowing.
It is with the greatest of respect and love that My Lil Tornado bids
Andrew Bucknall goodbye and good luck.
And it is with the greatest excitement and anticipation that My Lil
Tornado welcomes our new drummer Ingrid to the fold.
I first saw Ingrid play in 2004 (I think) playing with a band called
"K Road Queens" one of the best stoner rock 3 pieces I've had the
pleasure to see.
Ingrid hit those things hard and her beats were solid.
I didn't even know her name, but I remembered the thunder.
A couple of months ago I saw her at The Cherry Bar and I walked up to
her and had a chat. We talked about our current bands, and swapped
myspace deets.
When Andy announced he was going to leave My Lil Tornado Ingrid was
on top of my list. I was very happy when she agreed to have a jam
with us, and I was elated when she agreed to join the band tonight.
We'll be announcing gigs soon.
