End of the first 4 days.

Actually right now I am totally amazed. Everything sounds incredible, we have one song 98% done. Had a great day doing guitars, and vocals and having thai for dinner. I'm amazed at the talent of the people who play with me. Lishy, Drew, Eliot, and Bucknall. And the capabilities of our Engineer and I'd have to say Producer Leigh Evans. Always pushing for the best, well past the point where I couldn't give a shit anymore.

The song that is nearly done is called Start The Night. Until now it has been the runt of the litter, always dropped from set lists and not rehearsed at rehearsals, in preference for one of the louder more attention seeking babies. But we've polished it into a stunning gem. The rough mix sounds better than a rough mix, but not as good as I know it could sound. It needs some lead guitars and the drums need more mixing. But I felt some disbelief. I'd accidentally wrote a pop song. They could play this on commercial radio. Am I betraying my indie roots?

But what would commercial rock world want with us. Most of us are well into our 30s and seriously grizzly. But I suppose stranger things have happened. Maybe we should get cartoon characters made up so we could be like Gorillaz.

I hope one day my bandmates start posting stuff.
